The name of the project, from the ERASMUS + programme, is hidden in a symbolic acronym – BeWEEN, meaning “Be well and green when digital”. The project is of action type KA220-SCH-Cooperation partnerships in schools, taking place in the school education field [TK1] .
The project start and end dates are 11/1/2021 – 10/31/2022. Hence, the total duration of project is 24 months.
Our partner organisations in the BeWEEN project are: Universität Wien (Austria), Future Needs Management Consulting Ltd. (Cyprus), National Technical University of Athens (Greece), Centre of technical culture (Croatia).
The project goals are to build capacities in “healthier and more responsible use of digital technology” and to develop competences up to proficiency level 7 of the DigComp framework and promote „smart habits“ for tech – smart high school teachers and students.
Priorities are addressing digital transformation through the development of digital readiness and resilience, and to protect the environment and fight against climate change.
Aims of the project are to build awareness in High Schools by enabling teachers and students to safeguard themselves and the environment against a number of risks when using online tools and technological devices.
BeWEEN will deliver innovative practices and results related to the safe and responsible use of digital technology in the digital era, especially, in the transition to the digital classroom during the COVID-19 period and beyond.
As to the outcomes, our project will develop and test learning tools which will empower high school teachers and students to protect themselves against health and environmental-risks and threats through meaningful and comprehensive formal and informal education.
The expected results are both tangible re-usable tools for high school teachers and students as well as increasing teachers’ competence and skills required for distance teaching.
We have two expected project results:
Project result 2 will focus on designing and developing the BeWEEN training curriculum and contents.
The BeWEEN training programme will include 2 modules:
Protecting health and wellbeing and
- Protecting the environment
Project result 3 will focus on the development of the educational mobile game and will include two main parts: 1. Technical development and 2. Content development.
