HELIOS@NTUA hosting the BEWEEN project’s Learning Management System

Helios is the platform on which the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as educational material, in a digital form. As such, building our LMS (Learning Management System) based on Helios and using Moodle functionalities for customizing its services’ offering, was actually a very efficient and practical decision.

After an effortful period of design and implementation, currently the BEWEEN e-learning platform is fully operational and used by the project’s stakeholders for producing, sharing, and reviewing project material in four different languages, i.e. English, Greek, German and Croatian. Through our LMS, each user/teacher is able to examine the information asynchronously and document his/her findings. Furthermore, the project’s eLearning platform is supported by a set of customized Moodle functionalities, such as self-assessment quizzes, polls, activity, and content evaluation questionnaires and last, but not least, two Fora (one for each training module), hosting the discourse about the generated content between the project partners and the participating instructors, thus contributing to its further development.
