Revolutionizing Education: Teaching Resources to Teach Kids Well-being and Sustainability in the Digital Age, Ready for Implementation!

To create valuable and useful classroom resources, all BEWEEN partners organized workshops with high school teachers to delve into the important topics of well-being and sustainability in the digital age. Our primary objectives were twofold: firstly, to discuss these crucial subjects with teachers, and secondly, to tap into their pedagogical expertise and gather their valuable insights and ideas for potential tasks that promote more positive and responsible use of digital technology amongst students, fostering student well-being and sustainability.

Following the valuable input, feedback and discussion with the participating teachers during the workshop, we co-created a range of teaching resources to facilitate student learning on the critical topics of well-being and sustainability in the digital realm. In total, 30 teaching resources (6 per partner) have been compiled and carefully reviewed by the respective partner organisation to ensure their relevance and suitability for classroom use. The resources have received overwhelming approval from the teachers, who provided input and constructive feedback that we incorporated into the final versions of the teaching resources. We are thrilled to announce that these resources are now readily available on our website, specifically designed for use in the classroom and as homework assignments alike.

By working closely with experienced teachers, we were able to develop teaching resources that seamlessly blend psychological and pedagogical expertise. The valuable feedback from educators played a crucial role in transforming our theoretical concepts into practical, child-friendly resources. For example, they helped us gauge the ideal length of each exercise, determine the most appropriate age range for the materials and pointed out potential pitfalls or issues, which should be avoided. As a result, we have created resources that are both effective and engaging, ensuring that children learn about well-being and sustainability in the digital age in a way that is tailored to their needs and abilities.

We are confident that these resources will be valuable to teachers in promoting student learning and awareness about these vital topics. We hope that educators will make use of these resources and leverage their expertise to help create a brighter, more sustainable future for our children.
