Centre for Peace, Nonviolence and Human Rights – Osijek (CPO) is a non-governmental organisation focused on building peace, protection and promotion of human rights and freedoms and nonviolent methods of conflict resolution at the individual, group, and political level. Centre for Peace - Osijek was establishedin 1992 with an aim of contributing to building of sustainable peace in the war-torn regions of Croatia, but also in the region and at the European level.  The Centre implements projects in three strategic areas: rule of law and human rights, culture of nonviolence and building of peace, democracy and community development.

University of Vienna

The University of Vienna (UNIVIE) is a modern and, at the same time, a long-standing institution enjoying high international visibility. The University of Vienna was founded in 1365. It is the oldest university in the German-speaking world and one of the largest in Central Europe. The 15 faculties and five centres are dedicated to both basic and applied research. The University also has 16 research platforms to promote especially innovative interdisciplinary research projects.

Its research profile reflects the characteristics of the area it is located in and understands research as a global challenge. The University provides a full range of project management support services to project staff, in addition to specific support services e.g., ethics and Open Access. Researchers have free access to specialist libraries and the main library (the oldest in the German-speaking world and the largest in Austria). Currently, about 89,700 students are enrolled at the University of Vienna. They can select from 178-degree programmes, including 57 bachelor's programmes, 2 diploma programmes and 105 master's, PhD and doctoral programmes. With 9,793 employees, 70% (6,844) of which are academics, the University of Vienna is the largest teaching and research institution in Austria.
In this project, the department of Occupational, Economic and Social Psychology will participate. The department has a strong research focus with researchers from social psychology, organisational psychology, and economic psychology. A key research area of the department concerns the effects of digitalisation and such changing environments on behaviour and well-being. The basic philosophy of the department is to make use of findings from psychological research in explaining behavior, while simultaneously further improving underlying psychological theories.


Future Needs Management Consulting Ltd

Future Needs Management Consulting Ltd is an interdisciplinary socio-technical research and technology development SME. The team collaborates across social science and technology, to bring insights from each to innovation solutions and sound policy. Their staff has over 12 years’ experience of working on responsible research involving social problems, quality of life, education and training and safety online. Their research and development is underpinned by privacy- and security-by-design.

Future Needs develops bespoke and secure EdTech solutions for its clients in the Education sector, while ensuring that solutions are aligned with the latest EU Frameworks and standards, such as DigComp, and regulation, such as GDPR. As a team they bring latest technology trends and aspects of creativity, (youth) entrepreneurship and start-up mentality to projects we are involved in. We help our clients elicit user requirements for the development of new products and services, we develop R&D roadmaps aiming at product and service commercialisation, and they ensure security standards compliance for services and products we work on, before they hit the market.

They help our clients from the public and non-for-profit sectors to carry out Impact Assessments and policy evaluation. Finally, we leverage our relationship with a variety of stakeholders ranging from technical specialists, key industry players, policymakers and citizen groups when offering dissemination and community building services.


National Technical University of Athens

The National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) is the oldest and most prestigious technical University in Greece. It will participate in this project with the joined forces of two units, the Laboratory of Operational Research and Logistics (ORLOG) and the School of Mechanical Engineering and the Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Solar Energy (RACSE) laboratory. ORLOG, which will coordinate the work in this project, is currently served by two faculty members, 1 post-doc research associates and over 10 active doctoral candidates. Its main activities include: Design, prepare and implement training, teaching and education curricula at both graduate and postgraduate level in the area of STEM education.

Conduct ground and theory building research in the wide area of engineering and in its intersections with information technology, social and human sciences. Conduct experimental, applied and field research in the above areas in collaboration with a vast array of external stakeholders from academia, the industry and society. ORLOG has a long experience in providing training/education and conducting research in the following areas (only those areas relevant to the call are included: - Green Logistics and Supply Chain Management, - Reverse Logistics & Circular Economy – Digital Transformation and Industry 4.0 technologies (Low Power Wide Area Sensor Networks, IoT and industrial automations, Augmented Reality and Gamification, simulation/ digital twins,) - Decision Support Systems (incl. data analytics and Business Intelligence) - Energy management systems.


Centre of Technical Culture Rijeka

Centre of Technical Culture Rijeka (CTC Rijeka) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization with the task of encouraging and promoting technical education and computer science through activities for children, youth, and citizens  in areas of science, technics and IT with application in business and culture. CTC Rijeka is working with different target groups, from children, youth, women, socially excluded groups, people with disabilities, and elderly people.  Their programs are implemented in our premises (over 500m2) that are fully equipped and divided in 2 specialised ICT classrooms, 4 multifunctional classrooms equipped for different activities and Laboratory of knowledge that is used for audio-visual production, robotics, modelling, 3D printing, and other manual and IT activities.

Premises are fully equipped and accessible for people with physical disabilities. CTC Rijeka realizes its goals through 4 program areas, which are mutually interconnected, complementary and in some segments/projects intertwined. (1) Digital and media literacy: Continuing its 28-year tradition, CTC Rijeka is organizing IT and media courses and workshops for children, youth, adults, teachers and elderly people while offering every client an individual approach. Newly acquired knowledge and skills in ICT and media enable our users to develop in fields which the formal education system in Croatia neglects, such as coding, robotics, video, mobile apps development, web design, e-journalism, 3D modelling and printing, media literacy, etc.

Every year CTC Rijeka educates more than 1.000 people in ICT and media skills. CTC Rijeka is one of the coordinators of National coalition for digital jobs "Digital agenda for Creative Croatia", partners in eSkills for Jobs campaign in Croatia and a member of All Digital network, Croatian Informatics Clubs Association, Croatian Robotics Association, coordinator of All digital week in Croatia and Media Literacy Days in Rijeka. (2) Eco-social economy: CTC Rijeka is actively participating in the creation of a network of regional resource centres for social enterprises encompassing the areas of Primorje-Gorski kotar County and Istria County. Next important pillar is to become a national centre for social technopreneurship. (3) Social inclusion: One of the most important segments of CTC Rijeka’s work is to connect the use of new technologies with creation of opportunities for socially marginalized groups. Socialization of differently excluded people and creation of society, which understands, accepts and creates equal opportunities for its citizens, is a main goal in creation and realization of all CTC Rijeka’s projects.

CTC Rijeka includes different social groups in the projects, such as people with disabilities, retired people, people of lower financial status, unemployed people (women, men and youth) and/or people without work experience, NEETs and everyone who is in some way excluded from the society and labour market. Important area of activity is Local partnership for Employment in Primorje-Gorski kotar County. (4) Community development: Through the community development program, CTC Rijeka has been trying to contribute to the development of civil society in the region by empowering citizens to become active participants. That is being achieved by strengthening their competences by using new and innovative technologies. CTC Rijeka’s employees encourage volunteer work, active participation, partnership and inter-sector cooperation, and are especially active in the field of culture through project implementation and cooperation with various partners and associates.

At the moment, Centre has 12 employees and 6 long-term volunteers who are actively engaged in projects and programs. Centre is recognized as a successful and engaged organization in the local community.
